- Pass your request to one matched tradesperson in your area
- Send you a confirmation that we received your request
- Follow up with you if we need clarification about the job
- Understand which services and areas are most requested, so we can improve
3. Who we share it with
We share your request with one tradesperson — the professional we match to your trade and service area. That tradesperson uses your contact details to reach out to you directly about your request.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not broadcast your request to a list of contractors, and we do not share your details with advertisers or data brokers.
We use third-party service providers to operate the site, including a form processing service that delivers your submission to us and an email provider. These providers process your information only to provide their service to us.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
4. Consent
By submitting our quote form and checking the consent box, you agree that we may collect your information and share it with a matched tradesperson so they can contact you about your request.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. Note that if you withdraw consent after we have already passed your request along, the tradesperson may still have your details, and you would need to contact them directly.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your request information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, and to keep basic records of the requests we have handled. If you would like your information deleted, email us and we will remove it from our records.
6. How we protect it
Our site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and form submissions are transmitted securely. We limit access to your information to those who need it to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete your information
- Withdraw your consent to our use of your information
